BEST CYDIA TWEAKS FOR IOS6 2013 EDITION (MUST HAVE)

BytaFont & Boxii Font

BytaFont is a simple cydia application that allows you to change the font style across your entire device. It’s one of the quickest ways to really give your ios device a custom look. 

FolderEnhancer

FolderEnhancer changes your folders to the way they should have been designed from apple. You will notice how much faster using folders can be when you have FolderEnhancer installed. It will also give you the ability to place as many apps into folders as you want, and also folders in folders. 

ActiveDock

ActiveDock will reinvent your dock to be just like the dock found in OS X. You get the little indicator lights displaying that the app is running in the background. Bouncing is the best, when you launch an app it will bounce just like on the mac

biteSMS

If you text as much as i do, biteSMS is a must have app. biteSMS will overrule your messages app and bring out some awesome abilities. You will be able to reply to messages anywhere within your device. When in an app, just tap the notification banner to open biteSMS. You can even reply directly from your lockscreen, also to compose a new message just pull down notification center and press the little compose icon. 

WinterBoard

WinterBoard app is simply how you theme anything on your device. One very cool feature with winterboard which many forget about is the ability to stack themes on top of each other. For example i have the ayecon theme placed under iOS Colorful Statusbar and Glasklart battery, as seen in the video.

ayecon

ayecon is one of the most classy, elegant and subtle themes there is. Introduced in mid 2012 ayecon still seems to be one of the most popular themes of all time. 

iOS 6 Colorful Statusbar

Sick of everything being white in your statusbar? If so, here is another one of my favorite themes iOS 6 Colorful Statusbar. This theme simply adds color to almost everything in your statusbar. 

Glasklart

I only featured the Glasklart Battery in this video, but there is much much more to this theme. 

Neurotech Siri 2

Simply the coolest siri theme there is. Neurotech Siri 2 brings 300 frames of 3D  animations to make up the awesome siri mic you see. Neurotech also themes the entire siri user interface, 

Jaku

Another one of my favorite icon based themes. Jaku brings a classy and simple style theme to your device just like ayecon. 

Color Keyboard

Going along with WinterBoard and themes, Color Keyboard is how you can theme your keyboard. Many benchmark themes come with there own matching keyboard addon for Color Keyboard. You can customize the buttons, pop ups and background of your keyboard. 

Zeppelin

Zeppelin is very simple, it allows you to change your borring carrier logo. The best feature of zeppelin is how many add on packs there are available, 

Double At

Double At is a incredibly simple tweak and you might not need it. For what i do with my iPhone on a daily basis this tweak saves me a bunch of time. With double at all you have to do is input your email address in it’s settings panel and whenever you need to type your email just click the @ button twice and it will paste!

FullForce for Phone

FullForce for Phone is a tweak built for the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5th Generation. With this tweak you can seamlessly stretch apps to fit your larger 4 inch display. In the video you can’t even tell the app Speed Test has been altered and expanded to the longer length. 

iFile

The finder for iOS! iFile is a real jailbreakers tool used to browse your devices entire file system. There are endless possibilities with iFile, from editing code, changing lockscreen theme locations, sending files over bluetooth to zipping and unzipping files. 

BatteryPeek

Ever hate having a battery icon and also displaying the percentage because the icon isn’t very accurate to read, taking up 1/5 of your much used statusbar? Then BatteryPeek is a tweak for you! With this very simple tweak just download and install it and your done, you can now tap the battery icon to display the percentage. The percentage will vanish on its own after a short while. 

Universal Video Downloader

Universal Video Downloader is a very powerful application. This application will give you the option to download and save any video on your device. Use this app at your own risk. Universal Video Downloader works with Netflix, Hulu+, YouTube or ANY video you can watch on your device. The moment you start playing any video you will receive a popup notification asking if you would like to download this video! 

Notification Center

NCSettings is an absolute must! A widget packed with toggles and adjusting sliders such as volume, brightness, wifi, 3G, Bluetooth and many more. NCSettings is another one of my absolute most used packages from cydia. You can download this benchmark widget from the modmyi source for free.

NCDate & ncRam for Notification Center are 2 great widgets to have at hand. Also with both widgets you can fully customize the font displayed color, size and style.

FlagPaint

FlagPaint will paint your notification banner background to match the application icon color you are receiving the notification from! It’s just cool looking. 

AppCent

Another one of those tweaks created that leaves you thinking… why didn’t apple do this in the first place? AppCent is a no brainer tweak that will display how much an app from the app store has been downloaded instead of a loading bar that states Loading. 

Unfold

There are many lockscreen unlock tweaks found in cydia, Unfold is the best in my opinion. You have a few options within it’s settings such as unfolding it horizontally or vertically and how many times it folds.

TypeStatus

Having the replying bubble icon within the messages app when somebody is currently typing to you is very cool, but who is really going to sit in the messages app and wait? TypeStatus will put that icon in your statusbar! Kind of a peace of mind seeing it while you are anywhere on your device, just another tweak that reminds you why jailbreaking is so awesome. 

Torch

No more stupid flashlight apps! Torch puts a little lighting bolt icon on your lockscreen, simply tap flash on and now you can see in the dark. One of my most used tweaks ever since it’s release in cydia.

Springtomize 2

Your not a real jailbreaker unless you have Springtomize 2! This is the Swiss Army Knife of jailbreak tweaks. There are so many adjustments you can make to your device with this tweak it’s just crazy. I used springtomize to display my battery on the lockscreen overlaying my wallpaper, instead of the boring stock black background. You can also change icon size, dock layout, slide to unlock text, statusbar elements and much much more! 

Barrel

When i try to think back in the day of the iPhone 3GS and iOS 4 jailbreak one tweak always comes to mind, Barrel. It’s a tweak that has been around for a long time, very straight forward allowing you to have animated page scrolling effects.

Auxo

This tweak was a dream come true, the concept art of auxo was brought to attention awhile ago, i believe summer of 2012. I even wrote an article about the auxo concept!

Zephyr

The final epic tweak on this list is Zephyr. With zephyr, for the most part you no longer have to even touch your home button. Zephyr is a swipe gesture based tweak allowing you to close apps by swiping up from the bottom of the page. Also with a swipe up from the bottom of your homescreen zephyr will open your switcher. App switching multitasking with swipes side to side.
